On our long trip thur New Zealand, one of the most brilliant things that we did was to spend two nights in Te Anau. It is a beautiful area. It made the trip to Milford Sound a one day delight. Viv is a wonderful hostess and our room had a fantastic view. This was the cheapest accommodation of our trip and excellent value. Breakfast was Continental but substantial. We would highly recommend this as a base for Milford & Doubtful Sound more

This excellent B&B/Homestay is located on the Milford Sound side of Te Anau on a hill side which offers views you will never forget! Perfect base for exploring Fiordland. Viv is flexible with arrangements and gives great advice from logistics for traveling to Milford/Doubtful to suggesting the best chinese take-away in town. We were even able to get dropped off at the bottom of the driveway after our 5 days on the Milford Track. Coming back to Viv's after our adventures was like coming... more
