Highly recommend for a stop over in Te Anau and Milford. We stayed two days and two nights with one day for the Glow Worm Caves and the second day for the Milford Sound Cruise. The cottages are cozy with gorgeous views. A bit pricey compared to other offerings, but it was more than worth it because our boys got... more

The cottages were very clean with separate bedroom and living area. Fresh bread, cereal and farm eggs and fresh milk from the farm cows. The children were adorable and friendly, the hosts were helpful and respectful of our privacy. The view from the porch of the cabins is gorgeous. more

We stayed for 2 nights with our 3 children, one of whom is an infant. The cottages are quite nice, with one bedroom and a living area. The view is beautiful and the farm picturesque. The breakfast included fresh eggs, but otherwise was just supermarket bread and milk, which I thought was poor for the extra money we paid. The... more

We actually stayed here in 2005 but this is probably the most memborable B&B my husband and I have stayed at. The farm was exceptionally beautiful and the cottage was extremely new and modern. The bed was large and luxurious, the kitchen fully equipped with fresh eggs in the mornings, and the floors were heated. Finn gave us a tour... more

Glacial Rock B & B is a little hidden gem. Regretfully, we only spent one night there. If we have the opportunity to return to New Zealand, we would definitely extend our stay. It’s minutes from town, located on the top of a bluff with views of the mountains and Lake Te Anau. We had total privacy in our own... more

A very relaxing B&B with a lot of space. You get your own cottage with a lot of amenities including free satellite TV and internet. The view outside the cottages are amazing. If you like animals, you're right on a farm so there are plenty of horses and sheep on the grounds. The B&B owners give you eggs for breakfast,... more

We spent 6 nights in the Glacial Rock cottages in Te Anau. The cottages themselves were perfect. They had everything we needed including internet access and under-floor heating which was great on cold days. And the views were amazing, we could see down to Lake Te Anau with the mountains all around us, and just outside our window were the... more

These great cottages proved to be my favourite place to stay in a 6 week epic trip to New Zealand (and we stayed in a lot of places...). The quality of the cottages was amazing - from carved rimu wood tables, to quality linens and bedding, to an unsurpassed view, nothing was lacking (except maybe a washing machine). Also, the... more

If you're looking for the most incredible time, this is it! The farm and cottages were the perfect ending to our stay in New Zealand. Janelle and Dion are the most helpful and friendliest couple who will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My family of four (mom, dad, 12 and 14 y/o children) were very... more

Fantastic accomodations and friendly, knowledgable hosts highlighted our stay at Glacial Rock. What surpassed our expectations was the helpful advice and suggestions that were provided from Dion and Janelle even before we arrived in NZ- over phone and internet. They offered to book any trips we wished and gave great advice on items to pick up for the outdoor adventures... more
