We stayed here earlier in the year and really enjoyed our stay at Birds Ferry Lodge. The location was magnificent with fabulous views of mountains and in the distance to the sea.We even heard the rare Kiwi which was a highlight. This was our second visit to this location. Fabulous peaceful and private location, excellent hospitality and first class food. The attention to detail and welcome offered by Alison and Andre really needs to be experienced to be appreciated. We were NOT disappointed! more

I cannot understand what the previous writer is talking about! Beautiful setting, very comfy rooms, spotlessly clean. Gracious hosts who made us very welcome, fed us like Kings and were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and travelling in New Zealand.
