I travelled to Broken Hill in May 2009 to attend a State level sporting event for one of my sons. With so many other families in town most motels / hotels were booked out. A check of Google eventually uncovered Heather's Home Units, only a hundred or so metres off the highway in a residential area of town, about 3-4 blocks from the main shopping area. This suited us as we weren't looking forward to 4 days of motel food anyway - expense or options.

The Units are a block of 5 single story, fully self contained units, each unit comprising 1 double bedroom with ensuite shower, separate toilet off an internal laundry and a combined kitchen / lounge room with a small dining table, sofa and lounge chairs. I booked a Unit for myself and my son and interconnected to another Unit for my parents. We basically cooked and ate in the one Unit , with all utensils, cutlery, crockery etc. available. There were also various 'little' efforts provided - such as washing powder.
