We only stayed one night here in a Superior Room but the room was clean and the King size bed was comfy. The sunken bath with Atrium roof was great to relax, staring at the stars. We had our own courtyard but, but anyone could access this on their way to the Bar/Buffet. The lounge has a big open fire... more

We stayed at this hotel in the Hunter Valley Gardens, Pokolbin - not far from Cessnock. I was generally impressed with everything though for over $300 a night I think the room was lacking. Quite small really and nothing to write home about. The most endearing this about the room was the nice bathroom. A huge sunken bath tub with... more

We stayed here for two nights on the 21st and 22nd March 2009. We were here to see the Chris Isaak concert at the nearby Hope Estate winery so due to the demand were only able to get a standard room and there was a two night minimum stay (not that we were complaining as there are plenty of wineries... more

This is a nice hotel that could be great. My big beef was no in-room internet...unacceptable in today's higher end hotel. The room was clean but we had two double beds instead of a queen or king... not so great. The breakfast was $24 each and a complete robbery with canned fruit and bad machine coffee, had breaky been included... more

Give it a miss! SO boring an there are so many other great places to stay! i didn't realize until we got there nd i won't make the same mistake again. We are going to try a little cottage or retreat in Lovedale next time - it looks the place to be, with great views and away from the tacky... more

Great hotel, grounds, staff, food, location........must I go on? Recently stayed for a weekend with partner and we will definitely return again. Room was spacious (studio King) with private small patio, clean, quite and relaxing, lovely king size bed. Car parking is similar to a motel style with parking outside your door. No problems getting onto the 2 tennis courts... more

The central location of the Hunter Valley Gardens attracted us and we are happy we chose to stay there. We stayed at the hotel for a Saturday and Sunday night in August, and overall were impressed with the accommodation. From the outside it looks like a refurbished motel but once inside the rooms you get a very different impression. According... more
