The Observatory bosts beach views which it has, but only if you stand on the enclosed balcony and peer though the shutters. If you sit at the table and chairs provided, you only see the wall. We stayed at the Observatory for 3 nights. The unit was spacious and well equipped with comfy furniture and good kitchen equipment. The view was fantastic. The facilites were extremely clean and well maintained, including the indoor pool area. Highly recommended. Friendly staff. more

This hotel was very nice. Rooms are spacious and clean with quality furnishings. We had a garden room which was great for the kids. It was also very quiet and close to the beach. I would absolutely class this as the best hotel in Port Macquarie and we constantly recommend it to all our friends and family. more

This is a newish 4 star motel near the Observatory. I stayed in a standard queen room with an ocean view for $129 for a night. It included a private balcony/outside room with shutters looking out over the ocean. The room had a large flat screen tv and dvd player and had more Austar channels than most motels eg Max.... more
