We stayed at the Budget Inn in Gladstone, OR only after finding no other vacancies in the area and being too tired from a long day of driving. This place is SCARY! It was dirty, and smelled. Even the office had ripped up carpeting. The room had cigarette burn holes in the bed sheets, no light fixtures in either the bedroom or bathroom (just light bulbs hanging out of the sockets), the toilet seat was cracked and taped together with duct tape, there was a hole in the bathroom door where someone punched it, the switches on the wall lamps were hanging and unattached, the room had one chair that was broken and the upolstery was ripped. There was not ice machine and the lobby was locked up in the morning which prevented any type of check out. Scary is all I can say. My family was frightened and I can't believe we actually stayed here! Never again. I'd rather sleep on the asphalt in a inner city slum than stay here again.
