This is hotel is very basic and not somewhere I'd stay again. Gladstone is an industrial city and the gateway to a number of the Queensland resort, so you wouldn't necessarily expect luxe accommodation. However even working from low expectations this is not a good choice.
The hotel looks like it was built in the 1950s and renovated in the '80s. It consists of 2 rows of low ceilinged fibro built rooms facing each other across the car park. The rooms are somewhat musty and the mirror is so old that it has black spots througout. Unfortunatly the lack of net curtains on the windows means you can't open the windows to get air circulating without giving up all privacy.
The bathrooms are ok, with good water pressure and they are clean. No cosmetics, except liquid soap, are provided.
The location is ok - on the main street, although a bit far to walk back from the centre of town after dark if you're by yourself.
