I found the room to be very comfortable, clean and the bed allowed us to have a great nights sleep. The manger's were not very friendly but I believe the new owners are about to take over the management of the motel which i think should see a vast improvement in the customer service side of the equation. I travelled to Mackay with a colleague to conduct some training and this motel was recommended by one of the employees at the company we were visiting. When we arrived it was apparent we were staying in nothing less than a %$&# hole. The room I was in had a bad smell, the air conditioner did not work, the furniture... more

Stayed here for work very recently. Had forgotten to book in advance as Mackay is quite hard to get a quality room now if you don't book in advance so had to take what I could get. Rooms that were $80 a night have doubled as well as the food from the hotels all purely due to the mining boom... more

Aye, Stayed in the miners lodge, was a wee bit lodgy for my liking. There was no valet parking for my Mercedes or room service. Eric S------ more
