Mt Isa has quite a lot of motels of varying standards and proces, but the Spinifex is the top of the lot. We always stay there when going through town. The price is a little more than some competitors but the rooms are about 25 years newer and cleaner! more
Spinifex is far & away the best place to stay in Mt Isa. The rooms are always clean, the restaurant and bar is reasonably priced and the servings are quite generous. The Spinifex Motel located in Marian Street is a new motel (opened around the beginning of 2008) and certainly raises the bar for the rest of motels in Mount Isa.
