It was my first visit to Toowoomba and I stayed at the Tudor Lodge as it was the first motel I saw as I entered town. The owner was very friendly and was happy to show me the different rooms before I decided. I opted for a larger room with a small sitting area. Bathroom, TV, fridge, sofa, tea/coffee makings and comfortable bed. All for 100 dollars night. Breakfast could be ordered separately and I opted for it to be delivered to my room, at no extra charge. The rooms were quite adequate but not outstanding. The windows were small and because the decor was dark wood, they seemed a bit murky. The motel is about 20 minutes walk into town and I found there were plenty more motels closer to the town centre. I also found there was a very good little cafe in the petrol station across the road from the motel and this would have made a good alternative for breakfast. In summary, reasonably priced accommodation and it does what it says on the tin. more
