The room was very small and old, we didnt get what we requested. Not so grand at all! Food was average. Overall very dissapointed not queit the romantic getaway we were hoping for! more

This hotel commands the best position at Glenelg, Adelaide's busy beach suburb.. overlooking the Gulf of St Vincent. The rooms are rather spartan, sterile and about 1970s decor. Stayed here for 2 nights with husband and baby. The rooms were very dated and definately not 5 star. There were stains on the carpet and the room had an overall unclean feel to it. The staff were abrupt and not friendly at all. Would not pay full price for this hotel. Would not recommend. more

The Stamford Grand was our last stay in mainland Australia after travelling for 2 months and we decided to 'splash out'. We were so disappointed, we had stayed in about 20 hotel, motels B & Bs on our travels and this was by far the worst. It wasn't a cheap hotel and we expected far more from a 5* hotel.... more
