We arrived in Mount Gambier on our way from Adelaide to Mebourne via the Great Ocean Road. It was dark, heading for 7pm and we had nowhere to stay. We stumbled upon this place by complete accident and they were kind enough to put us up for just AU$110.

The standard ot the room we got for that price was wonderful. Room? I meant to say a suite of rooms! There was a huge bathroom, a kitchen off the lobby and an enormous bedroom.

It was full of character and had a wonderful high ceiling and the bedroom was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom and kitchen were not quite up to the same standard as the bedroom but you cannot complain when you roll into town we nothing booked like we did!

We were v pleasantly surprised and pleased with our luck.

Don't be put off by the slot machines downstairs (they seem to be everywhere in Oz) but rather persist and enjoy! more
