Totally endorse the last review - Colhurst House is a beautifully restored period house that's extremely comfortable & a delight to stay in. Rooms are lovelly, bathrooms are spotless & with masses of soft white towels.
From the welcoming small bottles of wine & chocolates to the fantastic breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, good cereals and whatever you'd like cooked - this is light years beyond your average B & B.
Patty was very welcoming & helpful, and even gave us directions and some day old bread so we could feed the Possums at dusk at the Ulpherstone Sink Hole [They're so cute that for these two travelling Canadians this turned out to be an unexpected highlight of our Australian vacation]
And yes - Sage & Muntries is great for dinner and a very short stroll away

My husband and I were delighted with our choice of Colhurst House, a Victorian house, built in around 1877, situated in a peaceful residential street approximately 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. The house with wrought iron balconies is decorated in keeping with the period. There are wooden floors throughout and a wide majestic staircase lead to our bedroom on the first floor. We had a large double room with a decent size ensuite bathroom. The room has heating and air conditioning. Guests can use the beautifully furnished lounge and breakfast is served in a separate dining room.

The house is owned by a commercial company. Patty Forster, the current residential host made us extremely welcome. A generous full cooked breakfast was included in the tarriff.

We highly recommend Sage and Muntries in town for a good quality evening meal.
