A basic room, pokey ( 5a ) BUT warm, clean and cared for. Lovely staff and the position in town is good, walking distance to everything, especially the thai restaurant in York Square. I would use this inn again .

Stayed there on 23 April 2013. We arrived late at night but through an advance call, we managed to get clear and friendly instructions on late arrival procedures. This Inn was centrally located and easy to reach from the airport. Check-in was friendly and helpful. Got a double room to myself with ensuite. Free WiFi, clean throughout and well heated. I stayed 3 nights in a queen room with ensuite. The location was very convenient, the service excellent, the facilities very comfortable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to my friends (in fact, I recommended Batman Fawkner Inn to other travellers on my trip around Tassie).

Nice hotel, old style with a very very old-luggagge only- elevator. Free wifi worked very well, the beds were good and the noise level very low. Everything was clean and as expected. 400m and around two corners is a great cafe where you can get amazing breakfast, the only place open on a sunday.

We have stayed here at different times and have always been received well. Staff has been excellent and very helpful with anything we needed help with. Stayed here early March and for budget accommodation you can't grumble too much really! We stayed in the hotel part rather than the backpacker/dorm bit and had a twin room.
