I've been coming to Tasmania for many years and have always stayed in downtown Launceston. This year, I stayed at the Riverside B&B just 5 minutes down the road from the CBD and will return here in the future. The house is beautiful, with a view of the Tamar River and the most incredible back garden I've seen in ages. The price is somewhat lower than the B&B's downtown and it's right on a bus route if you don't have your own vehicle. The rooms are extremely clean and well furnished, private ensuites, air conditioned, t.v.'s, fridges, and the hostess Joan has been running B&B's throughout Tassie for years. This is the first year for her latest B&B and her experience shows! Great location, Great rooms, Great breakfasts and Great hostess. What a find. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Launceston! more
