We really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities were well looked after, service was good and we met some cool guests. I particularly liked the way the Manager and reception staff made the effort to say a quick hello and to help out - quickly - with our requests. You guys rock. more

I had to stay in Launceston during a business trip one night and I decided to try a backpackers. This place was clean, cheap and really comfortable. The staff were great at helping me find an address I had to find. This place is better than a lot of the hotels I stay at. more

Stayed one night at this place in transit to hobort. Reception was warm, friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth and instructions are clear. Everything in and around the backpackers are close so you don't really need a car if you don't mind walking far.Supermarket,cinema,shops,resturants and the beautiful cateract gorge are all minutes away.Driving is the easiest as all the streets are one way ,.The weather is at it's best in febuary so go for it and enjoy. more

Loved my stay here. Kitchen was fantastic, everything was roomy and clean. The bathrooms were probably just a bit small, but hey - all things considering I found this to be a wonderful place to stay and explore wonderful Launceston. A place to stay for sure. more

Definately recommend. Clean, spacious, friendly, well resourced. Saw a review recently that complained of bed bugs. Absolutely not - and I stayed in the same room a week later! A better than average hostel. Quiet, central, not a party place (thankfully) so suitable for the older traveller but also lots of young folk there too. more

Its a backpacker/ YHA don't expect a valet. But it is reasonable in price, very clean and has huge public spaces and a great kitchen. There are rules, the stove and washing machine are turned off part of the day to keep the noise down, I am OK with that. There is a cat, but it doesn't bother people. We... more

Despite making an advance booking, which in itself was a troubled exercise as it took many emails and phone calls to achieve, we arrived on 12/11/04 only to be told that there was no booking or room available. The attendant was lacking in customer service skills and treated us with contempt. BE WARNED THIS IS NOT A NICE PLACE! more
