After a long drive through to Bairnsdale on business I came across the Colonial motor Inn and booked a room. My overnight stay was reasonable and headed back to Melbourne the next day. A few days later to my hooror I received a letter from the Inn with a credit card receipt in the mail. I had been charged $150 for apparently smoking in the room. The main problem with this is that I hadn't. I am a smoker and am respectful when staying in a hotel or motel to obey the rules of the establishment so I made use of the ash trey outside the room. It apears that some smoke may have entered the room and as a result I have ben charged an exorbatent amount to clean the room. When I rang to calmly dispute the matter the woman I spoke to reffering to herself as the "smoking nazi" which I would find extremely offensive if I was of Jewish descent refused to negotiate a reasonable outcome to the matter.
