Rooms are very old Bed was very uneven, felt very old. Could feel all the springs in the mattress. Door to the bathroom was a sliding door which got stuck closed twice, took a lot of force to open. Bathroom was filthy, cobwebs and dusty Be warned this motel surrounds a pub which is popular with the young locals. On... More

The welcome was friendly and the family room was a good size, with a double and two single beds. There was allocated parking for each room. The room was nicely decorated. There was a kitchen area with microwave, toaster, kettle and sink. There was a small table with two chairs. It was in a convenient location and we stayed there after... More

Have spent several nights here over the years and although the rooms are good they can be very noisy as the motel is next door to a tavern. The present owners of the Battlers Tavern have taken the place from a young rowdy filled place to a more friendly food orientated pub it still can be a tad noisy on... More

We stayed for one night and chose it based on previous reviews. Taking the advice we booked room 7 and were not disappointed. I like the set out with the shower/toilet seperate to the vanity basin and plenty of hanging space. It was a very welcoming, comfortable and clean room. Bed was great and we had no noise whatsoever other... More

My partner and I stayed at the Best Western Bakery Hill Motel on Saturday night. Helen at the service desk was really nice, however when we drove in, the car park had a cramped feel about it - not much room to reverse (hate to have a caravan). The room was spacious and apotlessly clean. The heater worked well -... More

My wife and I chose this motel based on its location and previous TA reviews. We based ourselves here in order to be comfortable while attending the 95th Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally. It was a good choice as it turned out. On arrival I mentioned to Helen (proprietor) that I was a light sleeper and I'd heard that some of... More

My wife and I stayed at The Best Western Bakery Hill on the night of 14th July 2009 and upon booking I asked for a room facing the street. I was advised by Helen that they had a complaint about the street noise from a disgruntled traveller and had taken this on board and had double glazing applied to the... More

We spent 2 nights recently in the hotel. However, the road noise was in tolerable, to the point that we did not have a proper nights sleep. Maybe the room could have done with some double glazing, to at least cut out some of the noise. More

In Response to Desmond Melbourne, Best Western Bakery Hill Motel is situated in the heart of the city, where you can park your car & walk to Resaurants & Shops, there can be a lot of road noise especially on long weekends when you stayed with us. Double glazing the windows was in our buget to do this year. I... More

The room and location near the heart of the city make it more enjoyable. The service was great and i would love to come back here 1 day. More
