We stayed here for one night with our 2yr old and 10 weeks old children. Nice cozy rooms and fantastic for visiting Sovereign Hill as you can enter via a door which links the town with the accomodation. Very handy, especially with children as you can pop back to the room for a break or a drink whenever you like. more

We purchased our package through our local motoring body for a discounted price which included. Entry into Sovereign Hill for 2 days, an evening meal, Sound and Light show and accommodation with continental breakfast. We are a family of four and we all enjoyed our selves. Sovereign Hill it self is great entertainment but also has extras to purchase once... more

we arrived for check in about 10pm and checked out about 10am so did not really get a chance to look around here. our room was in the residence and though small was nicely decorated. the shower had great pressure. we liked that the continental breakfast was in the room so we did not have the rush the kids (who... more

We initially had booked for nights, but ended up staying another to get the most out of the location. In all we spent 3 days in Sovereign Hill; the rear access proved to be a real benefit, and only having to pay for one day entry fee meant that we could peruse the park at our leisure, without rushing. We... more

We flew to Mel and caught the very cheap V/Line country train (1 1/2 hrs of sheer relaxation, gr8 scenery and comfy seats) and then a free local bus (Canadian route 9) about 10mins after arriving on the train. We booked the entire package (entry, acc, dinner and show) At the entry building the Mgr offered to send down a guide to... more

We took the Accommodation/Dinner/Blood on the Southern Cross Show Package. The accommodation was superb. Clean, and came with far more than the normal supply of basic beverage and food items in a self maintained unit. The show was out of this world with the lighting and sound effects comparible with the best Hollywood production. The only drawback was the dinner,... more

We stayed in a Heritage room in Jul-08 & it cost $165 (£77) which imo is good value. It was very easy to find following the signs to Sovereign Hill, it's just around the corner from the front gate. I really liked the whole set up, the houses continued the feel of SH & wasn't just a generic hotel with... more

We booked a full package including a luxury double room at the park itself, after driving over from Belgrave. It was excellent value - entrance to the park for 2 days, the evening show, evening meal, room with continental breakfast and entrance to the gold museum across the road. Sovereign Hill itself was an absolute delight with so many interesting... more

We (mother & teen daughter) had booked 1night but ended up staying 2 due to the great location. Although it is a bit pricey compared to other accommodation in Ballarat, the convenience of being literally on the doorstep, makes it worth that little bit extra. Everything you'd expect for a hotel of this standard. Room was big enough, very clean... more

We are a family of 4. We stayed overnight and had the dinner and show package. (costing around $443) The dinner was average, the breakfast below average. Didn't like the idea that the cutlery and crockery were set the day before on the breakfast tables and people were sitting at these tables the day before! The milk and orange juice... more
