Grubby and grotty foyer with very rude staff at reception. The cot that was requested was put into another room and we were expected to get it and bring it up two flights of stairs. The only clean thing about the room was the sheets. Very very noisy. Don't expect to get any sleep. We stayed on a Saturday night... More

Pretty basic hotel, and only good if you get a room that is at the back facing the carpark otherwise I doubt you will be able to sleep at night. My partner and I were there for a Friday night (the night before out 5am wakeup for the plane home) and the music from the clubs and bars kept us... More

Booked room after reading reviews and thought of canceling as single parent with 2 teenage daughters. Felt safe whole time, staff friendly, walked to and from Palais theatre close to midnight with no dramas. Fitzroy st was busy but slept like a baby. Not flash but beds comfy. Had room out back and no lift but only had carry on... More

Cheap, nasty and trashy explains this hotel perfectly!! The very greasy hair on one girl from reception was my first impression, self presentation is a must in any reception job, but guessing its not to her. Otherwise, reception wasn't to bad, untill we encountered a problem, not many smiles either... Room was small, and outdated, sheets seemed quite clean, minimal... More

Room was clean enough but way too small for 2 adults and 2 kids, shower good but bathroom floor was saturated afterwards. Our fridge froze the milk that we bought for the kids, there were no breakfast type things - spoons or bowls, so a late night trip to IGA was needed. Room service very poor, no change of towels... The noise from the street was unbieliveable and non stop all through the night. It was impossable to fully close the blinds so it was allmost daylight all night. The bathroom was something else with plaster falling off the walls, hot water running out, silverfish running arround the walls. The only good point we thought was the clean sheets. Would... More

We were accosted by homeless people as we got out of the car to enter reception - what was said to us cannot be repeated. We found the place to be genuinely frightening. The only clean thing about our room was the sheets, the bathroom was untouchable. We will never go back More

It's utterly not first class but I had to pay $1000aud plus for 1 week stay :( it's a terrible stay and the staff didn't care about my comments on the duration of my stay. I was very embarrassed that I took my family here. I'll never stay at St Kilda Easy Stay again. The people outside are very noisy... More
