Cozy little hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable beds.
Milon was super friendly and accommodating during our stay. He is a one man show and does a great job running this hotel!
Beautiful views of the ocean and can see the sunrise as the hotel is situated on the east side of the island.
A friendly atmosphere. A great value for the price!

Very nice, very clean, very tidy. Comfortable beds, hot/cold water showers, good fast Internet. Milan was very helpful with everything, arranging our trips to other islands and back.
Good value for money.
Highly recommended - and see you again, Milan!

We stayed in Royal Pearl Inn only for one night during our trip but from the very first moment we felt very welcomed. We were picked up by the crew the moment we arrived on the Maafushi Island and were taken to see our room.
It was pretty spacious and very clean. Guesthouse is brand new. The crew showed us around and asked whether we needed anything. Apart from the bathroom the room has an outside shower which is perfect for the hot weather. The guesthouse has wifi, air con and also supplies the guest with beach towels.

The crew has been very friendly and always asked whether we needed anything. Freshly prepared food was really tasty and served at the prior agreed times.

The guesthouse is a very short walk from the jetty and the beach. At our departure we were seen to the jetty. The staff made sure we managed to board ok.

A really great experience and we wish to have stayed longer. Should we ever visit Maafushi again it will definitely be our place to stay again.

Highly recommended should you wish to feel at home.

First beware of the extra tax and service costs they charge everywhere. (Add 10% and 12%). We didn't read the small printing well enough. So therefore I think the room was overpriced (in stead of the expected $40 we payed $53), we wouldn't have chosen this guest house. Nothing wrong with the room, it's perfect with ac fan hot shower tea/coffee... Guest house is not really a fun place to hang out, no relaxing place or anything. They promised a pickup from the ferry, no one was there, we walked to the house, no warm welcome (thank you for choosing us or how was your trip...) We were expecting a more island vibe, you won't find it. Nobody will greet you. I think they don't really want tourists to visit, or they're not ready yet, they just want their money. The island is in full construction, a lot more concrete will follow! I hope it's not going to be like concrete Male. Rooms where pretty noisy, apparently the island construction starts at 7:00am...
Also I think they could have been more helpful giving more info about how to get to Maafushi. You have 2 choices: a $180(!) speedboat or a ferry from Male. But to the ferry is a 25 min. walk on Male! Or a taxi who asked for $34!!! Ridiculous pricing all over the islands. I know they have to import everything but prices were outrageous. The return trip we booked a speed ferry ($25 pp) to the airport, that's where the manager was helpful. We liked our breakfast guy, he tried. Overall: no need to visit Maafushi, we've certainly seen much prettier bounty islands with incredible opportunities to dive/snorkel for far less money and way better vibes, and more friendly people! (The guys from Day tours where we booked a tour is the only exception)

Stayed here 4 nights. The rooms are spacious & beds are very comfortable. Rooms are cleaned & made up daily. Staff (Rajeeb, Mohammed) are simply great and ever willing to help. It is located on the opposite side of the bikini beach & tourist hotspots, (a 5 minute walk away), but great for peace & quiet after all the activities and crowds. They arranged night fishing for us and later prepared a great meal with the fish we caught. Rooms are provided with a hairdryer, wardrobe with safe & a mini fridge. Air-conditioning was good & so was the bathroom with hot & cold rain shower. Wifi was pretty good & free. LCD TV with satellite cable in the rooms with good mix of channels.

Rooms are all on ground floor located around a square courtyard/dining area. Our room (and I guess some others as well), did not have windows and natural sunlight would come in only through the open shower. Not a problem for us as we were out for practically the whole day and would return after dark. Toiletries in the bathroom included only 2 small bottles of shampoo, along with ample towels. Tea and coffee is prepared & served only if requested but always with a smile. They provide snorkelling gear for free if required, but we did not use it. Breakfast is basic but filling.

Local beach is about 25 meters away. Saw sting ray, crabs and other small fishes close to the shore during our night walk along the beach. We also managed to catch some breathtaking sunrises from the roof. Overall I will highly recommend this place if you are looking for a comfortable place to rest after all the snorkeling/diving/activities done throughout the day. It does not have all the thrills and frills of some of the other hotels but it is budget friendly, provides all the basic necessities required and added bonus is the extremely friendly staff.

We were greeted at Male airport by the owner of the Royal Pearl Inn who transported us by speedboat to Maafushi. The journey takes around 30 mins and when we arrived on the island were met at the jetty by staff who transported us to the guesthouse.

The Royal Pearl Inn staff were friendly, spoke perfect English and immediately made us feel very welcome. The spacious bedrooms had contemporary décor, AC and were very clean and fresh. The en-suite bathroom had complimentary toiletries and an indoor and an outdoor shower which we really liked too. Free wi-fi was also available throughout the guesthouse and worked very well.

The staff catered to our every need and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh for us with a variety of options to choose from.

The Royal Pearl Inn provide beach towels if you want to relax on the beach - which is very clean and only a short walk from the guesthouse. In addition, they offer a wide range of daytrips and activities to choose from at very reasonable rates. We went snorkelling on 3 of our days - which is a must! As first-timers we were a little nervous but the staff were very experienced and accompanied us throughout making us feel very safe. The sea was so clear and the colours, coral and fish we were able to see was AMAZING. We were also able to feed the fish and even swim with turtles!

On our departure day the staff accompanied us to the jetty and transported us back to Male airport by speadboat.

We stayed at the Royal Pearl in for 5 nights but could have easily stayed much longer. In our opinion the guesthouse offers amazing accommodation, superb service, very reasonable rates and is excellent value for money. We will definitely return and would definitely recommend.

The place is like a second home in Maafushi. Very hospitable crew and the owner will take time to check every day all our needs. The hotel is very near to the jetty and beach. Very new facilities.

A great place to stay for the family and friends.

The inn was located at the back side of Maafushi's port and local beach. Its a ten minute walk to reach the inn. The area was peaceful and the staff were accommodating. You can easily roam around Maafushi and you can find souvenir stores. Just learn to haggle and the owner will give you discount. I booked the Inn thru booking.com and the one thing im concerned is that they still charged us with the transfer fee of 4 USD per person when infact nobody fetch us on the port upon our arrival. We just managed to ask some good locals at the beach. Anyway we just paid what is being billed. Maybe its not their fault but booking.com.
