Stayed here for one night on our travels up north to Exmouth. Room was clean and bed was comfy. A little noisy from the road out the front and no windows to shut only wooden doors to try to block out the sound. even so, compfortable, clean and cheap accomodation. great location accross the road from the beach.

The backpackers is arguably the best location in Geraldton city. The shared room was very well priced. Not much atmosphere and back area a bit of a dogs breakfast. Recommend it for location and price. Would stay again if more to do there.

Cheers. We appreciate that people take time to write a review on our facility and are trying to improve our facility every day. We do run night activities at the hostel and am sorry that you felt the atmosphere was DEAD here. Atmosphere relies on alot of different factors- some what is provided and some from people who are in... More

I was very happy about the price, as I was on a very limited budget, Staff were helpfull. My big complaint was, that I wasnt informed that the rooms, might have moquitos, sandflys, Midgy flies or possibly bed Bugs, and I didnt get a decent nights sleep for the fortnight I was there. Had I been told, I would have... More

Hi I am so sorry that the experience you had at Foreshore was not what you were expecting. Since becoming aware of the "bug"problem we have ..HOPEFULLY ...eradicated them. As a professional backpacker, Bed bugs do come into alot of accomodation facilities carried in on their unknown mode of transport ; that is YOU the backpacker; and some decide to... More

One of the few backpacker accommodations in Geraldton, did drive about looking for others but no luck. Reception was quite casual - they opened up when we checked in. Rooms were ok - no A/C (which may have been required due to the warm climate). A few noisy fans to keep the room cool (didn't really work too well). The... More

This place has everything you would want from a backpacker. It is not on the top 10 of the cleanest and best looking hostels, but it is OK. The place is lively mostly every night, and the place is filled with nice people. If you need to stay a night it is a nice enough place to stay (and geraldton... More

I have been in and out of hostels for almost a solid two years now. Foreshore Backpackers has to be one of, if not THE best one I have stayed in. The building is loaded with character, and the owners make it such a pleasant experience that it is hard to leave. The rooms are clean, and not packed with... More

We stayed at a twin room, it's in the midst of renovation with no door knobs n wet paint. U can see that it's in need of extensive renovation with rotting wood n broken down wooden furniture. The new owners got their work cut out 4 them although i did see 'For sale' sign at the door. But it's clean... More

Hi phlee7 I am disappointed that you found our hostel as you descibed. My only reasonings would be that as you said yourself we were renovating and may have had dropsheets and a ladder outside your door while we were doing the room adjacent to yours. The wet paint is a problem not only with smell but also people touching... More
