The hotel is booked out and the bar closes at 8.30. I am sure I was in the janitors room in was so dark and the noise from the air con motors. It is clean and a great location if you get the right room. More

I wanted a bit of luxury at the end of a trip but didn't get it. For the price I assumed there would be a swimming pool but this was not the case. Rooms were ok. Since I first stayed in 2004 when the railway ran along the seafront I have loved this hotel. Railway line has been moved and there is a great leisure space created. Standards are very high and the staff always friendly. The only problem is trying to get a booking, very busy during the week and rightly so. More

The Ocean Centre Hotel is not a 4 star property. The property is dated, definately in need of an upgrade of furnishings. The Ocean Centre Hotel provides what I would describe as the "Holiday Inn" 3 star experience. It is not a 4 star hotel in my view, although the prices they charge (around $200 per night) would suggest otherwise. This hotel has a great location and charges heavily for the privilege. It offers fairly modest facilities, it is very poorly sound insulated so one hears everything going on next door, and they can´t even manage a biscuit in the tea making cupboard. Found better accommodation the second night. More

The location is undoubtedly superd with the Ocean facing rooms and the rooms itself are spacious - it apperas though that the hotel rooms we were in clearly had been refurbished the last time some 20 (?) years ago and could certainly do with some refreshment.
