John and Sue made our stay here so enjoyable! We were a little unsure what it would be like in a Homestay (opposed to a B&B), but we felt right at home here and very comfortable. Their home is new, impeccably furnished, the room opens to the back garden, open space, and forest. It’s in a lovely area on the road to Tutukaka, where I went on a SCUBA dive that day. John actually had a video of the Poor Knight’s Island where I dove, and we relaxed that night and chatted with our hosts, and watched the video! We appreciated their suggestions for dinner in Whangarei. Breakfast was great, then we were off to our next destination. We were just sad that we could only be there 1 night! more
