Paul and Linda saved our week. We arrived in Hokitika late one evening and ended up at another beachfront accommodation. After a cold night, lugging suitcases up and down stairs my traveling companions ended up sick. I called Paul and he graciously encouraged me to come on over as soon as I wanted. Within a hour, I had everyone moved into Larry's Rest with good heat, fresh flowers and home baked cookies (biscuits). We tarried in Hokitika a couple more days to allow everyone to recuperate before heading to the glacier area. I can't say enough about Larry's Rest and Paul & Linda. The cottage is comfortable and well provisioned. You have a washer, full kitchen and lovely patio to enjoy. A+ in my book. Thanks for a wonderful stay. more
