We did not stay here, having pre-booked elsewhere. However, the restaurant here was recommended and rightly so. The meal we each had (three different meals, including one gluten free) were superb and very, very sensibly priced. Pleasant service with the right balance between interest and intrusiveness. Probably the best steak I have ever eaten (and I have eaten plenty). Wines... more

Beautiful location, distant views of the sea, llamas in the gardens. Unlike the previous reviewer, we had a very good meal but were unimpressed with the room. We arrived in Hokitika looking for somewhere to stay for the night. Nowhere in the town looked very promising but we saw the Station Inn advertised in a free accommodation booklet.
