We arrived mid afternoon from Dunedin and were welcomed by the family. The house is an absolute dream. If I could pick any house I have ever been in to be my own this would be it. Although the welcome was warm the house was not! We had the Nullabar room at the front of the house. It was cold and dingy and not too clean. We stayed here for one night and took in the Penguin tour which was great. We had a large bedoom on the ground floor , but there was no heating in the room at all other than an electric blanket ! Oamaru Creek's website and literature looked very promising, but sadly the glossy pictures didn't quite fit with the actual property.
