Stayed in the Honeymoon suite which was nicely decorated, with large bath tub, although it seemed to be right next to the Managers room which allowed us to hear staff go in and out on the Sat night after closing the Bar/restaurant. I have travelled all over New Zealand over the years and I have to rate The Honest Lawyer as one of the best hotels in the country. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable with baths (a huge bonus!). If you stay here you must try the excellent restaurant as the food is fantastic.... more
