I stayed at Kings Gate Motel in Nelson for two nights on my recent trip to NZ. It is the cleasnest hotel during my entire 30-day trip. Everything was spotless. I booked for a sudio and it's very spacious with a king size bed and a sofa. The kitchenette is separated from the sleeping area and is well equipped with hot plates. There is a guest laundry room with free washing. Drying cost NZ$2 . It's about five minutes walk from the I-site and 10 minutes from city centre. There is a small grocery with fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, milk and ice cream next door. Nelson is a pretty city with beautiful golden beaches. I wish I had stayed longer in Nelson. I would definitely go back and strongly recommend this place. more
