Barry and Jenny were very welcoming. The room was comfortable and spacious with separate bathroom and toilet. The food was well presented and tasty. The location is a short drive from Nelson, however Richmond is within walking distance. I would recommend this B & B to friends More

My wife and I stayed with Barry and Jenny for only 1 night. However, we already fell in love with this warmly house. Barry kindly took us from the airport, with snacks and tea waiting for us. They totally make the house as home to us. The breakfast next morning is more than satisfying. In addition of continental breakfast, they... More

We stayed with Barry and Jenny for 5 nights during the Rugby World Cup, and they couldn't have been more welcoming. The room was spacious and well kept, and the local area was nice and quiet - but easily within walking distance of Richmond and a short drive from Nelson. The breakfasts are big enough to ensure you don't go... More

We had a lovely big room with and en suite which, although not huge was big enough for its purpose. Our hosts were very helpful and informative about local highlights and helped us by booking a trip on the water taxis in Abel Tasman National Park. Their breakfasts were delicious with a cooked breakfast being provided if requested. Jenny's homemade... More

We spent 2 nights at idesia in April. Idesia is located not far from busy Nelson so good if you want somewhere quiet. The hosts, Jenny and Barry, were warm and accommodating. Jenny took me to the local bird hide so I could photograph some NZ bush birds which was wonderful. Barry helped us plan a day trek in the... More

Jenny and Barry went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They took time to help us with travel queries and arrangements and even went so far as to drive us to the wedding we were attending! We would not hesitate to recommend a stay in their home. More

Located slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main city, Idesia is the perfect getaway for travellers who are looking for a cosy, relaxed homestay. Our group of 6 friends stayed with Jenny and Barry over one night in late Nov. The moment we arrived at their doorstep, our hosts warmly greeted and welcomed us with tea and... More

When we arrived at Idesia we immediately received a warm welcome. They went out of there way to help us plan the best trip for the Abel Tasman National Park. Barry even called several agencies to accomodate our wishes and booked the tour. Jenny gave great tips for local restaurants and driving directions. Breakfast was excellent with nothing left to... Hosts Jenny and Barry are very friendly and welcoming in this terrific bed and breakfast. The room was lovely . The bed was very comfortable and the sheets fine and pressed. The accommodation is very close to the centre of town so restaurants and stores are very accessible and it is an easy drive to Nelson. It is necessary to... More
