We travelled to Pukematu Lodge in 2008 and became firm friends of Colwyn and Bronwyn. Unfortunately on this stay Bronwyn was in Auckland working on a rugby group. This was the best place we stayed at on our whole New Zealand trip. The lodge is way up on a hill and you have a fabulous view of the Bay of Islands. It was so peaceful and beautiful! The breakfast was very good and the hosts very friendly and helpful. more

We had the most hearty breakfasts and Bronwyn made you feel so welcome. They complimented each other and are fantastic hosts. The rooms were beautifully appointed and Bronwyn made the devine afternoon teas. The fishing was great and I would recommend this lodge to anyone. You will be spoilt by this couple. more

You could not find a more exciting uninterrupted view, than the 360 degree sea views from the wraparound balcony where you can also enjoy your breakfast on a sunny morning. Bedroom OK, better than some we had stayed at but the food and view where a joy. Very good hosts. more
