My freinds and I traveled to Hastings from Australia to play golf at the nearby Cape Kidnappers. Our hosts at the motel recommended and booked a great restaurant and even drove us there the night of our arrival. In the morning we were cooked an excellent hearty New Zealand breakfast before we set off to Cape Kidnappers. Of course we were provided with a great "mud map" of how to get there. more

My husband, son and I stayed 2 nights at The Clansman Motor Lodge. We stayed in room 9 which consisted of the following:
Studio unit with a queen bed, single bed & Ensuite -tea & coffee making facilities (plunger coffee & Biscuits) and microwave - this is an upstairs unit overlooking our beautiful grounds - 29" Flat Screen TV & DVD - High Speed Internet.
It also has two big garden areas, one with swings and a trampoline and the other with a BBQ and tables and chairs. They have a swimming pool which is private and safe for the kids. Breakfast was nice, you can choose from continental or cooked. You could also have dinner and they have a bar.

Last but not least the atmosphere and hospitality we got from Maree and Leigh was outstanding. They we're very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. This made our stay that much more enjoyable.

I would definitely stay there again A+++ more
