Millar Road is the perfect place for good friends to have a long weekend in harmonious luxury. The cottages are perfect for two couples wanting to tour the surrounding vineyards of Hawkes Bay. We stayed three nights in the MD2 upper cottage of Millars Road. The cottage looks over the vineyards and out to sea with the rolling hills behind the cottage providing pasture for the grazing cattle. We choose this location for several reasons. The cottage is set up with two king beds and two bathrooms of equal proportions with a large bathtub room between the two. With this set up no one really gets the smaller "dud" room. Okay, one bedroom does open up into the courtyard, but from the other you get the one of the best views I have ever had sitting on the loo itself. Kid you not ! The beds were comfortable, lots of pillows, quality bed linen, soft towels and fantastic shampoo and soap.
