We stayed in a cabin in the camping ground for two nights, then had a room in the nearby outback pioneer hotel for the third night, because the cabin wasn't available for the third night when we made our booking. The cabin was fine - yes it was small and rustic but we weren't there to hang around in the... more

We hired a motorhome in Alice Springs filled it with goodies from a well priced Coles in Alice Springs ,then set off for the week. We spent 2 nights at the Ayers Rock Campground. We didnt spend a lot of time at the grounds as we arrived back both nights after gorgeous sunsets at the Rock and left early in... more

Price of neighbouring establishments dictated we stay here. The weather was awful and we were forced to sleep and eat in the cabin. Space is very confined and everything is rundown and scruffy. The toilets are approximately 150 yards from the cabins and not a pleasant trip in the middle of a wet miserable night. The only redeeming feature of... more

I stayed in a tent on the camp ground which was really nice, clean and quiet. After reading the reviews of other people, I was expecting to be kept up all night. The campground has a strict 10pm curfew which was followed the two nights I was there. I did not hear a peep. You can see Uluru and Kata... more

The cabins at the campground are good value for money. The cabins are not big, one bedroom with a double bed and the other bedroom with bunk beds. A very small kitchen. Our airconditioning unit did not work well, we cleaned the filter ourselves, that really helped. The campground is easily reached by the bus that drives around the complex... more

We were in the cabins. This place reaks of "we are the only game in town so we can do what we want and get away with it." Cracked vinyl flooring, straight back hard chairs in the lounge/dining area, bathroom down the road, overburdened and therefore grumpy staff at check in. You do get a functioning but old a/c/ heater,... more

Let me begin by saying this is a review of our experience, on a given night, where certain events compacted together to result in such a poor overall rating. In an ideal world some of the issues should not (one would hope) occur often, and rarely all at the same time, so please bear with me. Readers should also be... more

Ayers Rock/Uluru accommodation is pretty expensive if you want something where you can self cater. I chose a 2 bedroom cabin in the campground as the least expensive option. It was basic with an undercover table & chairs for sitting & eating outside. You can cook & eat in the cabin. The shower & toilet faciliutes are shared with the... more

Considering that all other accomodations seem to be astronomically outrageously priced, the campground is only somewhat outrageoulsy overpriced. Really, it's not all that bad. The cabins are small but efficient, with 2 rooms and a kitchen. It also has a nice little outdoor area where you can relax. It's in a nice location close to the national park, and has... more

The cabin was quite basic - not up to the standard I would expect for the location and price. Little things like shocking TV reception, no wine glasses, no sharp cutting knives, very dirty curtains made this cabin shabby and not up to standard for $150 per night. It was also quite a long way from the toilet/shower block and... more
