Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An amazing place and even nicer since our last visit a few years ago. Great hosts and a wonderful location whether you want to cycle, ski, walk or just soak up the views. An amazing property that has been beautifully restored making it a great place for a gathering. Lots of lovely touches to make a special stay including the pool, games room, yoga studio or roaring log fire for the evening

A really idyllic property at the foot of the Pyrenees that I feel very lucky to have stayed at. Liz and Dom's hospitality goes above and beyond and they made everyone on my stay feel very welcome. Liz worked hard cooking a variety of homemade dishes that were very impressive and really enjoyable. We certainly never went hungry during our stay! I stayed in the studio room which opened onto it's own terrace with stunning views of the Pyrenees. This room is ideal for couples that would like to do some of their own catering as it has its own little kitchen. I was staying for a Pilates retreat weekend with some paddle boarding and rafting thrown into the mix and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you Liz and Dom for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home.

Can’t recommend this highly enough. Covid meant it was 2 years since our first visit but so glad we were able to return. Dom and Liz are the most fantastic hosts, the location is amazing and the new (traditional) games room is the icing on the cake. We had three days on the slopes that were fantastic, and coming home to the smell of a chocolate cake cooking for us at the end of a day is the sort of lovely touch that was really appreciated. Whether you are a skier, walker, cyclist, twitcher or someone who just wants to relax ..maybe with yoga by the pool this is an amazing venue.

We spent a heavenly week here with family and friends. The house is just wonderful and comfortable, in beautiful surroundings, with amazing views of the mountains. Its a great spot to cycle from (some of our party did the Tourmalet) and there are also lovely walks, spa opportunities, nearby markets and towns to visit. Its also just perfect to just sit by the pool and relax. Dom and Liz could not have been more hospitable or helpful. The breakfast was plentiful, and we opted to have dinner cooked for us a couple of nights which was delicious and all our dietary requirements were more than tended to. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and I cant wait to visit again. We all left happy and restored, feeling really fortunate we had the chance to spend some time here. 5 stars and 10/10. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic place to spend time cycling and socialising. Dom and Liz are superb hosts. Don't bother eating anywhere else because the food is fantastic, and we were a fussy bunch. We will be back to do some of the cols we missed. Conveniently located for 100km rides to just about anywhere.

The room and en-suite were both spacious and comfortable. Dominic and Liz were wonderful hosts who made us feel part of their circle of extended family and friends. More than just a B&B, there was access to a common-room kitchen where we prepared an evening meal on the night we didn't want to drive to Lourdes or Bagneres-de-Bigorre (both within 10 km). On one night Liz prepared a restaurant quality meal for a less than restaurant price (by arrangement). Our trip was to experience the beauty of the Pyrenees and this was the perfect base. With Dom and Liz's help and their extensive range of local maps and knowledge, we were able to choose a different walk for each of the three days, one starting only a couple of hundred metres from their door. For those seeking more challenging endeavours, it is also the perfect base for cycling, climbing or serious walking. Our TomTom unit didn't recognise Cami de Bidale so try Garobit if entering coordinates is too difficult. We had problems paying by PayPal (PayPal's fault - wouldn't accept a foreign IP address) but Dom and Liz allowed us the extra time needed to fix the problem. We cannot recommend 'Pyrenees Pursuits' too highly - this was the highlight of our trip that included Venice and Paris
