We have just checked into our ensuite double having spent the night in a hostel at mission beach. This modern hostel is located right in the heart of the main waterfront area, the rooms are in corridors which lead off from a central area which has internet cafe, bars, restaurants etc so you are literally a few steps away from... more
Great location. Rooms are very clean and comfortable beds. Good facilities. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm with a gorgeous sea view (ask for that room if possible) which was very good. AUD30 per night which can be costly if staying a long time but I preferred it to the YHA. more
Can only recommend this backpackers. We stayed also in other backpakers in Airlie Beach, but this one had the friendliest service and the best value for money. more

Dirty, shocking, terrible noisy place to stay. We stayed here 8 days, room didn't get checked once, toilet paper ran out, they wouldn't replace. Rooms were dirty, dark and dingy. Nothing was appealing about this place. more

Disgusting bathrooms. A deposit is required for E-V-E-R-Y-thing. Staff complains they are not paid enough to do their job. Staff is not nice. Staff makes accusations to guests.
