Like the skiing in Australia's Snowy Mountains ($$$$$), Jindabyne is very overpriced for what you get. But the market will apparently bear it, so if you want the experience you have to pay the going rate.
This property is at the cheaper end of the scale (US$120-140 per night; most have a two-night minimum, this place allowed one) and offers very basic accommodation (1.5 stars), but clean overall (bed linen and bathrooms). Basic breakfast is included. Walls too thin if you are easily disturbed by the noise of other guests or the owner.
The place is a private home turned into an expanded B&B marketed as a "lodge." Three parking spaces for an unknown number of rooms on the front lawn & driveway (all covered in concrete). The rest of the parking is on the street in the neighborhood. This is not a hotel in the usual sense.
