Our biggest disppointment related to the actual standard and presentation of the rooms versus the expected from the website images and the guide price in comparision with competition in Katoomba. More like a cheap and dirty country pub - not what we expected. more

The staff might be friendly, but so are the cockroaches. The Clarendon Guesthouse was probably nice fifty years ago but it needs a good clean, replumbing of the guesthouse rooms and redecoration. My family ans I stayed at the Clarendon and were very disappointed. It was 8 degrees and we had no heating in our room which was outside the guest house, more of a drive in Motel than a cosy guest house. The Web site offered open log fires, there was no warm fire to sit by just an old room... more
