We came here for our honeymoon, 39 years ago. I don't think it has been updated since. The mattress etc was terrible. It was dirty and cold and the water in the shower was worse than any camping area we have ever stayed in. It was hot, cold, hot ,cold and while you were showering the water was all over... more

Payment upfront - and then you get to see what it lacks. Don't do breakfast even tho they say they do, no wi fi, staff are hardly available when your actually around, dirty bathroom (although with some attention to detail this could improve), no air- con and it was very hot! Bed was actually very comfortable and shower was fine.... more

One of the worst motels that we have stayed in! Way way Overpriced! We agree with most of the people that have stayed there, the motel was dirty and cold and extremely old! Would not reccomend this place to anyone! Tear it down and start again!! more

Stayed for 1 night with a friend. We got a view room (#2) which was very beautiful with the view of the mountains from our room. Could walk to the 3 sisters in about 2 minutes. The breakfast was great and very good value for money. Away from main road so wasn't noisy. Room and bathroom was clean and had... more

With 14 others we stayed fo 2 nights at this filthy flophouse; the bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and worn out, daily "cleaning" was non existing. Linen was questionable, beds sagging, electrical fittings not working and NO MANAGER TO REFER OUR CONCERNS to! Staff responded to our concerns "you'll have to talk to the Manager, she's not here until later".....she never... more

I stayed here in 2000 and remembered the place as lively, warm and welcoming with a charming restaurant and fab food. The rooms were dated but clean. What a shock on returning for 2 nights stay to attend a family wedding over at Lilianfels. Although the website promises much, it is obviously a hangover from the people who owned and... more

The greeting at reception on arrival was less than welcoming. I was then asked to pay for the two nights up front...I realise now why this was the case...I would have changed accommodation the second night!! Soap was left in the shower from the previous occupants, the toilet brush was disgustingly dirty, new towels were provided on day 2, the... more

We visited Katoomba & stayed at Echo Point Motor Inn - * They advertise on the web - "Restaurant at the Point" on site; which in fact did not exist. * They say in the compendium that the bar is open until 10pm for guests - this is not the case, we arrived back at the Motor Inn at 8.30/9.00pm... more

This was absolutely filthy. I would not stay here again. I would never, never recommend this place to anyone...ever! We stayed 2 nights and I tried to change the second night. Thank god we had are own sleeping bags and towels. I wouldn't sleep on the sheets. No hot water in the morning for showers, no heat in our room.... more
