Very homely with some nice touches such as free tea and coffee with cake in the lounge and free port. Lovely choice of teas. Breakfast was good with hot croissants. Comfortable rooms. Friendly owners. Real home from home and great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are very well furnished with antiques and the beds were very comfortable. It is quiet and well located, about a twenty minute walk to the train station. Ian was very helpful. Breakfast was continental, but jams and breads were very good. It has a nice TV room, plenty of DVDs and a... More

Kurrara B&B is being sensitively and attractively refurbished. We were told this is the second oldest guesthouse in Katoomba. It is charming as were our hosts, Evelyn and Iain. While our "lavender" room was not one that had been renovated it was very comfortable - it had a good bed, a hot shower and thick white towels. What more do... More

You will be welcomed as a guest in a beautiful home rather than as a tourist and yet as a tourist Iain and Evelyn have all the answers to questions of what to do, where to eat etc. And can provide tickets to local attractions. B&B at Kurrara means a beautiful bed and brilliant breakfast. Yes it's a Continental breakfast... More

We stayed for a weekend with our 7 month old daughter and loved every minute. Iain and Evelyn were warm and friendly and we instantly felt welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have wanted (incl. fridge, flat screen TV, DVD player, microwave, HUGE bath, open fire and a decanter of port!). We will definitely be... More

What a lovely place to stay. It has beautiful decor that matches the era of the house. We stayed in two of the rooms at this lovely guest house and were impressed by both. Loved the furnishings and the spaciousness of the Magnolia room. Our hosts couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Only a few minutes walk from the... More

We booked the spa ensuite room which was excellent. We even had a private little sitting room and table! Fantastic DVD, book collection, tea, coffee and fresh fruit available all day, and we enjoyed a port by the open fire at night. Would definitely recommend to others

We spent 2 nights here & had a wonderful memorial time. First time in a Guest House! Everything was lovely! Kurrara is very quaint & feels like a step back in time, with modern comforts (hot shower - nice). Deco is lovely, antiques etc.Stayed in the Lily room & loved the morning sun filtering through the lace curtains. Owners were... More

You get a warm welcome here, and the house has a very relaxed feel. It's clearly lived-in and that's a good thing. It may not have the spit and polish shine that some other highly-restored historic B and B's have, but it feels more like a real house this way. The hosts are great, the breakfast rooms are beautiful. The... More
