Had heard rave reviews so tried dinner one Friday night. We were walk-ins and were still able to get a table quite easily. Great selection of beers and staff very helpful. Tried the charcuterie tasting plate and loved it. I wish it was larger or that I didn't have to share any with my partner.. The menu definitely gives off... More

Had been organised and called to find out about vegetarian options. Was emailled with a few options but on the night was told only one was available, so that was my only choice for dinner ie no choice. Really disappointing as I had emailled to avoid this type of predicament. Everyone else had good meals, but not for the vegetarians.... More

We didn't stay, just had dinner and a couple of drinks. Really good food and an excellent selection of beers. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews here, it's not fair to complain about having to pay a little more for beers that aren't the same old same old. This place is trying... More

My husband and I loved this hotel for its great restaurant and boutique beers but a recently planned stay was disaster from beginning to end. Not getting a call from the manager after we raised our concerns was also disappointing. Go for the food and beer not for the accommodation.

The hotel location is convenient as it is right across the road from the yacht club and the rooms are ok for the price although there is a shared bathroom/toilet, However, I could not sleep from the noise of traffic outside the window and I woke up with bites all over my arm which itched for days. It's not worth... More

Minor complaints are that the light in the ONLY woman's toilet and the main one in our bedroom were out the whole time we were there. NO hotel staff at all except the lovely and overworked bar staff - the night we decided to eat there the waitress got stuck at the till with a large party leaving and it... More

No complaints about the room, which was clean and comfortable. I also appreciated the TV and the free wifi access. Breakfast in the communal dining room was basic but quite adequate. My biggest frustration was with the bathroom. I don't mind using shared bathroom facilities but these were barely adequate. There was one very small basin squeezed in between the... More

We had a great stay. Our private twin room was very nice and clean with lovely linen. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and brand new. The staff were very helpful, especially Michael, which we appreciated a lot. The breakfast was great and you can eat whenever you want. Cereals, toast, coffee and juice. Overall would recommend to anyone!

On January 11th 2013 a friend and I decided to go for lunch at the Albion. We had heard it was quite good. . We arrived at the Albion at 11.30, on the door there was a sign saying opens at 11.30. However we were informed by a local they were going to be another five minutes. After ten minutes... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night recently and were pleasantly surprised! It being our first time in accommodation with shared facilities, I was a little skeptical. But the rooms are quite large, as are the beds. The shared facilities are clean, though we were lucky in being the only guests. I can't imagine when all ten rooms... More
