We absolutely loved our stay in a cabin in the caravan park, it was very quiet and relaxing, kangaroos and wallabies lived around the park and a lot of birds and a couple of koalas. Was great, I would definitely go back! It was a bit expensive for what it was, but the location is great and it was worth... More

Read a lot of good reviews for this park and we were not disappointed. Facilities and amenities were good - all private bathrooms and a good kitchen. Very very large sites spread across a really big park. We parked ourselves next to a small bush and were greeted with lots of possums and wallabies throughout the day. There was a... More

As you travel from the East to the West on KI, it becomes apparent that you are leaving civilisation. Stop in for some groceries in Parndana and go back 40, no 60 years in time to a place where the shelves are almost empty and the lights are down low - no off. The main road is wide and empty... More

We've been coming here regularly for 6 years both privately and as tour operators and it rates as the best overall park we've stayed at in Australia. Brilliant for international travellers as it offers a close up and personal look at Australian bush and wildlife. Camp sites are excellent as are the cabins. Nights are silent except a few native... Decided to stay here rather than the more expensive retreat down the road and we don't regret it. We stayed in the YATES cabin. It was a little small (had to keep our bags in the living area) but comfortable for the two of us with all that you need to be self contained. We had shopped at Kingscote for... More

We stayed two nights in January 2013 and had a very pleasant time. We stayed in the Sunset Luxury Log Cabin which was fully adequate, clean, well equipped, comfortable and of course very quiet despite it being perhaps the closest to the road, which has next to zero traffic at night. An ideal base for the western end of the... More

What a fabulous campsite. The camp grounds are teaming with wildlife, roos, wallabies, koalas, possums, just to mention a few and as for the birdlife, twitchers would be very happy! We stayed in a powered camp site and even though we had neighbours on either side we never felt claustrophobic. It's with in easy access to all tourist attractions that... More

We spent 3 nights at Western KI in our camper on an un-powered site. It was very quiet as it was off season so we got to pick our spot. We found the caravan park to be very pleasant, ammenities were clean, and staff were nice to deal with. Used the fire pit one night, the kids taught some German... More

We visited after reading other reviews on trip advisor. Camped in a tent. Only 22 bucks per night for u/p site. Bargain. Saw more wildlife here than in the nat. Park up the road! Koalas, roos, wobblies, parrots, possums. Great value. Camp kitchen excellent. Best weve seen. Will def revisit.

We stayed at this park with friends for 3 nights from 15th November. We had 2 unpowered sites as our friends had a camper trailer with their own power. There was plenty of room and we were able to choose whichever campsite we wanted, despite the fact that we had already booked one. We chose one overlooking the "oval" from... More
