The place has certainly gone down hill. The mould in the bathroom was enough. No pool yet advertised on the net, rusty broken pipes and I would think over all appearance would count not here. We can only assume the Owner has a great sense of humour but he should have called the Motel "Dogs Breakfast". Silver Sands Motor Inn Resort is AN EXAGGERATION in the extreme. The room we stayed in was very ordinary and did smell. They did however negotiate on the tariff. more

Awful, awful place. Stay at the Best western Beachfront, great location, and I'm told has clean bedrooms. Silver Sands rooms are tired, dated and quite frankly a disgrace. I wouldn't even send my mother-in-law to stay there. Dirty motel, rude staff and the food served up by the restaurant is a joke. mcDonalds serves better food. Gourmet it is not.... more

The Silver Sands is in a prime location on Peggy's Point with great views of the harbour from every room. But the motel is around 30 years old and showing its age.
