I've been meaning to write this review for over 2 years now so a lot is from memory...We about to move back to the UK after a year working in North NSW, had just finished packing everything up and had said goodbye to our friends. Totally exhausted. To finish our stay in Australia we decided to fly to Melbourne visit... more

As part of a month long trip to Australia we stayed 2 nights at the Twisted Willow Cottage at Paradise Gardens. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with a lake and its own family of ducklings. Inside the cottage is furnished to a high standard and has a wood burning stove. There's no TV or mobile access but for... more

As part of our honeymoon, we travelled 16 days through Australia. We did a 2 day road trip on the Great Ocean Road, which is an absolute must-do! We have done quite some road trips in different parts of the world, but the GOR really ranks very high. Apollo Bay according to us is also the best place to stay,... more

The biggest mistake of our three week Australian tour was to stay just one night here. What a lovely place! OK, there is no TV and mobile is not working but we loved every minute there. From the moment you arrive Jo and Jock are friendy (and George says "hello", too) and the house, everything so good, clean and well... more

You would think that the name is a bit too far reaching. Well, here is what you will find: outstanding location in the middle of the forest but not far from the Apollo Bay town; warm and friendly welcome; gorgeous premises; big, comfy, exquisite rooms; care for details everywhere; anything missing ? Oh yes, and a fridge full of anything... more

What a find! If you want peace, quiet and comfort, love nature and beautiful surroundings, then this is the place to be. We only stayed 2 nights on our Great Ocean Road trip, but really you could base yourself here for longer and travel out in either direction each day. We had some rain during our stay, but it only... more

This is a gem, waiting to be found. A magical place, with the cottages in a wonderful position overlooking small lake. Kingfishers and parrots galore. Tranquil and just oh so relaxing. A must for anyone travelling along the Ocean Road from Melbourne. more

My boyfriend and I needed to get away for a peaceful and reflective time and couldn't have picked a better spot. We stayed in Twisted Willow cottage and were thrilled with everything we found from the location of the cottages (away from the busier coastal area but near enough for sightseeing) to the feel of the luxurious sheets on the... more

Taking the lead from other reviews of Paradise Gardens, my wife & I booked three nights in November 2008. What an absolute delight this place is – accommodation, surroundings, comfort, "Paradise" is what it is in every respect! We stayed in Twisted Willow cottage which has three rooms with a deck outside. There was a very well equipped lounge/ kitchen... more

I cannot say enough good things about this place, and would have loved to have stayed more than one night. The owner, Jo, was welcoming and very helpful in giving us tips about local sights - she recommended some local waterfalls (Marriners Falls I believe) which were absolutely beautiful. We stayed in Plum Tree Bedsit, which was idyllic. The room... more
