Something happened in this motel which became, for us, the symbol of reasonably-priced,
run-down, slightly seedy budget motels...
It was very reasonably priced ($75) and past its prime... (the air-conditioner had a scourer-sponge jammed in it to keep the vents open)... but perfectly adequate.
But the symbol of past-their-prime motels? Well, I had trouble getting the electric kettle to work....
