We chose Glen Isla for our stay on Philip Island because of the nice pictures in the net and the B&B fully lived up to it. We arrived in the beautiful garden and were greeted by the host who showed us our room (incl. free port which was refilled for the second night) and gave us inside information about restaurants... more

We stayed here for one night in Feb (during the heatwave and sadly, the resulting bushfires). Our room (the Green Room) was very tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable and cool (great aircon). Faultless frankly. Service was attentive and genuine. Lovely small touches, like port in the room, complementary water and a truly magnificent breakfast. Will certainly go back, and will almost... more

As soon as you turn in off the main road into Glen Isla you realise you have entered a hidden gem that transports you into another world. The gardens, accomodation, food, wine and hospitality is all perfect here. After been welcomed by Madeleine and Ian you know you are in the perfect spot to stay on Philip Island. Full of... more

We stayed at the Glen Isla for one night in Jan, but we wished we'd stayed longer. We went to Phillip Island on a mission to see the penguins, probably in common with all the other visitors to the Island! I had researched on this site and booked Glen Isla on the back of the recommendations. Personally I didn't think... more

Glen Isla House is run by the owners Ian & Madeleine. It is a purpose built B&B with six main rooms and a couple of additional rooms converted from existing buildings. All surrounded by large gardens. The rooms have been decorated in different styles to give them an individual character. I particularly liked the large, American style, walk in closet... more

We booked the Anderson Room for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners where friendly and very hospitable. If you really want to spoil yourself and enjoy a tranquil environment, 2 min walk to the beach or 1 min drive into Cowes there is no other place on Phillip Island you would want to stay. Ian (host) has... more

We could not have been made more welcome by the owners. The accommodation is superb with themed rooms set in private grounds. The beach is meters away. Our two stays so far have been wonderful and my wife and I will certainly be visiting Glen Isla again. more

Outstanding in every respect. Its obvious why this property has 5 stars. Private gardens, beautifully decorated well thought out rooms, and hosts who go out of their way to make guests welcome and explain what there is to see and do. Coming from overseas, we came to see the Penguins, and discovered lots of other things to do on the... more

Visiting from Melbourne looking for a quiet weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Found this on the web. Nicely decorated rooms (no clutter), lounge with fireplace to relax in front of, and hosts (Ian amd Madeleine) warm and freindly. No TV in the rooms but we didn't miss it. Large formal gardens were inviting and the... more

We stayed here in April for 2 nights in the gate cottage. It was very spacious and felt homely. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and very relaxing. They also provide a fully stocked larder, for breakfast which was really nice. We will definately return and recommend it. more
