We booked by email and that worked reliably - we were expected when we arrived. The motel is unmanned and is administered by the adjacent Port Campbell Caravan Park, where you have to go to check in.
From the outside, the motel looked a bit bleak. It's painted a rather drab colour - a sort of greyish mauve - and it could do with a spruce-up. We weren't too impressed. We'd booked a double-storey room, of which there are two and these, like most of the rooms, look out over the rear car park, again a bit dismal. There is a view from the upper-storey balcony, across roofs, to the bush-clad valley side (but not to the sea). Inside, the downstairs lounge was rather shabby, with stained carpet and rather cheap furnishing. Upstairs, the bedroom was in better condition, reflecting less usage, I assume. The rooms were clean and we found the bed to be very comfortable.
There is a reasonably-sized kitchen and it was well-equipped.
