We stayed in the old part of this listed building, lots of character. We had a room for the three of us for A$100, inc. breakfast. Not en suite, but as we were the only people upstairs it was no problem. I guess you might have to queue for bathrooms at peak times such as the Easter folk fest. Staff... more

Drove here from Melbourne along Great Ocean Road in one day. Trying to fit in as much as possible on our trip to Australia. Would definitely have preferred much longer on the Great Ocean Road - it is amazing. Also if I time was limited and only driving for 1 day would not go as far as Port Fairy again.... more

Outside it looks like old building but in reality it is very much just a motel. We had two rooms (two couples), same price and next to each other. They were about the same size but style was very different, another was ordinary, modern motelroom; another was motelroom with something which tried to look old traditional, but was mostly funny... more

We paid $165 for Queen Spa room, which I find too expensive for its quality. Room is spacious and yes there is spa in bathroom, which we didn't use. The furniture and bedding are average. It certainly didn't have the duvet as featured on their website. Staff service was mediocre. more

If you need a good night sleep or several for that matter then this is the place for you. The room we have was modern and well appointed. But for me the best thing was the bed! this bed was the most comfortable bed ever more comfortable than my own! Very good size. Excellent... more

We drove into a very wind-swept Port Fairy as autumn weather lashed this part of the coast. Port Fairy is a small quaint town that looks like it has changed very little since it was established in the mid 1800s. Following our stay last night in the Best Western at Apollo Bay and the first impressions of the town we... more

Having spent two days "doing" the Great Ocean Road, I spent one night here before heading into the Grampians. It was a good decision. The hotel's appearance is a bit cheesy, but the rooms are comfortable and the welcome warm. Location is good too, being handy for the river, coast and town centre. The only food I tried was breakfast,... more

This hotel was recommended to us. We got a room on the ground floor in the new building. We could not believe that this was a Comfort Inn, what a high standard. The room was very spacious, two large beds and very nicely decorated. It had a small patio with two chairs and a table. We just stayed for one... more
