It is in the best location for Noosa Heads. The greyhound bus stops literally opposite, it is a short walk to the beach - we couldn't believe our luck! It is such a pretty building too, an old Queenslander with wide verandahs. Our view might be a bit coloured as we had a twin that opened up onto the verandah,... more

This hostel is in a fabulous position right in Noosa Heads but it's very pricey for a double room at $86. You get no soap, no towel, a communal bathroom. For that amount of money you should get at least soap and towel and not have to take your sheets off the bed. That's motel prices. The light shining through... more

Popped over from a cold NZ winter for a bit of sun and surf. I have stayed at most of the Queensland YHA ,s ( i love the concept ) but this was the best, with Byron a close second. You call that a hill, come to NZ. I loved sitting early evenings on the beautiful veranda with a cold... more

This is a very charming YHA in an old lodge. Spacious and very clean, cosy and comfortable and a great place to meet some people. Close to the beach and shopping street, it's perfect! more

We loved this place and stayed longer than we had anticipated. The rooms were noisy until the bar shut but things quickly quietened down soon after. With the main building being wood the sound of footsteps carried in the corridors and this could sometimes be heard at night but wasn't a real problem. This place had real character and the... more

We booked a double room for 2 nights but unfortunately this was above the bar. It was very noisy but people started to quieten down after midnight. This is a surfer type hostel and everyone's quite young. Breakfast was nice and you can organise trips to Australia zoo from here. The pick up point was just over the road from... more

I would stay here again, but only if I could get a room not directly above the bar. The place does revolve around the bar, so it's good if you mainly want to socialise, but not if you want to get up the next day to go to the beach. It also had the worst kitchen that I've seen in... more

We stayed in a double room and it was far too expensive for what you got. The bar was good and had great prices, and there was plenty of lounge area, and the location was great, very close to the beach. However, the rooms themselves were not worth the price, and the bathrooms and kitchen were very dirty. i didn't... more

We stayed at the Nossa Heads YHA for 6 nights and paid $30 for a 5 bed dorm. The dorm was cramped to say the least and should really have had 4 beds in it. It had a fan but no A/C however, during the night was surprisingly cool. There weren’t any electricity points in the room so you had... more

This hostel is in very close proximity to the bus station area which is ideal. It is an old "Queenslander" type property with some newer huts as additions. We had a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was ok but had a really damp smell (something which seems to be too common in hostels in Australia). The communal... more
